Aneka Harrell

Aneka Harrell is a seasoned Program Manager at the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, bringing over a decade of dedicated experience in the housing industry. Over the last five years, she has focused on breaking down barriers and providing essential resources to low- and middle-income families, significantly enhancing their quality of life. Aneka’s career began at the San Francisco Housing Authority, where she built a strong foundation in housing services. She later played a pivotal role in auditing for HUD, followed by a transformative tenure at the Oakland Housing Authority.

These diverse experiences have given Aneka invaluable insights into the systemic challenges and disparities within housing, particularly the stark wealth gaps impacting Black and Brown communities. At the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, she continues her mission on a larger scale, making a tangible impact in closing the homeownership gap and fostering economic stability for San Francisco’s low-to-middle income earners. Through her work, Aneka is dedicated to advancing equity and inclusion, ensuring that all families have the opportunity to achieve homeownership and build generational wealth.
